- ☂It plays itself when it rains. Put it under the run-off and the weather sounds the tongues. No power, no batteries.
- ♪There is no wrong note. Pentatonic tuning means any two tongues sound right together.
- ☐No lessons needed. The tongues are numbered and the songbook uses those same numbers.
- ◆Made to stay outside. Powder-coated steel, through the wet months.
Why it is called that. Margaret is the grandmother it was first made for, by her granddaughter, because she had loved the sound for years and only ever heard it somewhere else.
Some garden pieces simply fill a space. The Gala 4-Blade Solar Wind Spinner gives that space a little ceremony. Its layered, jewel-toned petals catch daylight with a hammered texture, then settle into a softer evening presence as the integrated solar accents begin to glow.
Designed with four independent rotor sections, this oversized spinner creates a more dimensional motion than a flat garden wheel. Each breeze can move the layers at a slightly different rhythm, so the piece feels alive from the porch, the patio, or the far end of a flower border.
Why Gardeners Love It
- Four-rotor motion: layered sections create shifting movement from multiple angles.
- Solar evening accent: integrated solar panels charge in daylight to support subtle after-dusk glow.
- Hammered jewel finish: multicolor crescent petals reflect sunlight with warm copper and bronze undertones.
- Oversized garden presence: made to become a focal point in borders, patios, walkways, and open lawn corners.
- No outlet required: stake it in a sunny outdoor spot and let the breeze and sun do the rest.
The result is a spinner that does more than move. It changes throughout the day: bright and playful in afternoon sun, sculptural when the air is still, and softly dramatic when dusk settles across the yard.
